Victor Klassen was raised in a family of 15, on a farm in rural Manitoba. One of his fondest childhood recollections shows him running to the workshop after his farm chores were complete to create working sailboats for use on the backyard garden pond. His appreciation of design and style was developed early, and at nineteen he left for the University of Nigeria where his involvement in sculpture was born.

Poverty forced Victor Klassen to grow his style and design abilities, and compelled him to blend the fanciful with the practical. But, before long he’d discovered a place for his exceptional furniture.

This artistic endeavor has since turn into a fusion of the artist’s newly found inspiration and the product he worked with. While many woodworkers saw their materials into straight planks – this being the most common way in which to make use of equipment – but Victor had been keenly preparing a distinct and amazing strategy.

Victor continues to draw creativity from the forms of the outdoors, and currently works with new methods.
